Jaden Deng is a multi-disciplinary artist whose practice involves painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and digital mediums. As a Chinese international student, his education has introduced him to the Western art historical canon. He has taken particular interest in various abstract art movements, which have become influential to his practice. His abstract paintings, drawings, and sculptures convey the strengths of the materials, and the purity of form. His current work incorporates abstraction into traditional Chinese artforms, creating a blend of artistic cultures.
