Rae Weber’s artistic practice, which includes photography, digital media, painting, and costume creation transports the viewer into an immersive and imaginative realm revealed through a study of common motifs, iconography, and character archetypes associated with the fantasy genre. With lens-based practice as her primary focus, she explores themes of identity through self-portraiture. She creates and portrays characters within these mystical realms to express aspects of her life, personality, and ideals while evaluating her place in the world around her.
