ZO WALDE

[email protected]

Zo Walde is a conceptual installation artist who draws inspiration from aesthetic categories such as camp, punk, DIY, vaporwave, and Pop Art. Growing up on the internet, Walde was immersed in an online culture and political landscape that hosted radical right-wing communities, which fundamentally opposed queer existence. Their art is both a reflection and deconstruction of the intersections between personal identity and digital culture. They create spaces for viewers to enter and become fully present in. To fill these spaces, Walde makes soft sculptures to process their experiences while comforting and entertaining others.
